Meet Teddy
This Teddy is more than just a teddy bear, Its a multi-sensory comforting companion with a voice box that guides children through a range of tried and tested activities to help children navigate emotions.
With features like fidget-friendly paws, a lightly weighted body and sensory tags, Teddy offers a multi-sensory experience that supports emotional well-being and resilience
How Tedology Supports Emotional Development
Guided Audio Activities
At the heart of the bear are ten carefully created audio prompts and activities that help children name, understand and manage their emotions.
The voice inside your bear was chosen with the help of children. We chose a young, soft voice because research shows that children are biologically and psychologically drawn to higher-pitched, gentle tones - often referred to as infant-directed speech.
These kinds of voices are known to support attention, emotional engagement, and feelings of safety. They activate nurturing responses and help children feel soothed, making it easier for them to focus, join in, and build a positive relationship with the bear.
Sensory Integration
Teddy includes multi-sensory features thoughtfully designed to provide comfort and support well-being. A lightly weighted design offers a gentle, grounding feel; sensory tags and fidget-friendly paws invite children to stay present through touch and movement.
Multiple textures and a crinkle-enhanced ear offer soothing sensory experiences. These elements may be especially helpful for children who find it hard to settle, focus, or manage big emotions.
Emotional Literacy Tools
Helping children understand emotions starts with helping them find the words. Tedology includes a visual emotion card featuring 16 common feelings (including the much-requested “hangry”) to encourage everyday emotional conversations through play.
Paired with the audio prompts and the bear’s expressive use, children begin to build a vocabulary for how they feel - without needing to explain everything right away.
Alternative Pathways to Expression
For children who prefer drawing or writing, Tedology includes a notebook and pencils to give them space to reflect or communicate in their own way.
These tools invite quiet self-expression and help children externalise what they may not yet be ready to say aloud.
Parent and Practitioner Guidance
Tedology is thoughtfully designed so children can easily engage with it on their own, exploring feelings and activities in a playful, age-appropriate way. But we know children thrive when the adults around them are involved too.
That’s why every bear comes with a comprehensive companion guide, packed with practical tips and science-informed strategies to help parents, carers, and practitioners guide and extend their child’s emotional learning journey.
Together, you can create moments of emotional learning and joy - with extra support available through our online resources and webinars.

Meet The Maker
Founded by Clinical Psychologist Dr Louise Mansell, with over 15 years of experience working with children and families, Tedology reflects Dr Louise's deep understanding of the emotional world of children and how to make an impact.
“This is a truly wonderful product. The bear was treated like a VIP from the moment we brought it home. The impact was profound: my boys were talking about emotions more freely in such a short space of time, naming feelings, talking about times they were brave, and even creating their own emotional combinations. The parent instructions and guidance will be a welcome addition. ”

“It helped my daughter calm herself down independently, instead of needing us to help her, which she felt proud of having done. As well as using it as a definite comfort item, especially at night. The bear was involved in games, play, and even went on a bike ride.”

Mum of Three
“Our children loved the having the bear to sleep over. We had to take it everywhere with us, from setting up the morning picnic to bedtime, the bear was there.”

“My two boys, 13 and 11 years old. Absolutely love teddy’s Deck of Emotions.
The fun, relatable cards have made it so much easier for them to recognise and express their feelings and emotions. I would highly recommend to all parents.”
