A Thoughtful Approach to Emotional Growth
Tedology helps educators support social and emotional development through everyday routines and interactions.
This multi-sensory comforting teddy is designed to calm and reassure, while short, playful guided activities gently support children to regulate, transition, build confidence, manage worries, and understand emotions. Additional resources help strengthen emotional literacy and shared language.
With a simple guidebook for adults, no formal training is required. Rather than something staff need to deliver, Tedology fits naturally into daily moments of connection and need.

Why Educators Value Tedology
Child-led engagement
Tedology was co-designed with children, from the sensory features to the guided activities. It builds on how children naturally engage through play, comfort and routine, making participation feel safe and familiar.
Builds emotional literacy
Many children act before they have the words to explain what they feel. Tedology helps them notice body signals, recognise emotions, and practise expressing feelings through play, drawing and gentle repetition.
Fits existing practice
Tedology strengthens what educators already do well. It integrates into routines, calm spaces, transitions and wellbeing activities without requiring additional training to begin.
Encourages independence
As children become familiar with the activities, the bear becomes a cue for self-regulation. Over time, many children begin to pause, reset and return to learning with less adult direction.
Onsite or Online Educator Training
Dr Louise Mansell offers additional training and support for education settings wanting guidance on using Tedology within daily routines (Calm and Connect) or as part of a structured 6–8 session approach (Teddy Tools).
“This is a truly wonderful product. The bear was treated like a VIP from the moment we brought it home. The impact was profound: my boys were talking about emotions more freely in such a short space of time, naming feelings, talking about times they were brave, and even creating their own emotional combinations. The parent instructions and guidance will be a welcome addition. ”

Speech & Language Therapist
“It helped my daughter calm herself down independently, instead of needing us to help her, which she felt proud of having done. As well as using it as a definite comfort item, especially at night. The bear was involved in games, play, and even went on a bike ride.”
— Shannon
Mum of Three
“Our children loved the having the bear to sleep over. We had to take it everywhere with us, from setting up the morning picnic to bedtime, the bear was there.”
— Jess

“My two boys, 13 and 11 years old. Absolutely love teddy’s Deck of Emotions.
The fun, relatable cards have made it so much easier for them to recognise and express their feelings and emotions. I would highly recommend to all parents.”
